This production is being done in tribute to Sidney Poitier and all proceeds after cost will go to support student scholarships.
ABOUT EVENT
This play is a timely and appropriate look at the lives of AAs who are facing the social ills of prejudice and injustice and challenges both black and white on how to deal with the questions “love thy neighbor,” and “who is thy neighbor.”
Given the continuing racial injustice that continues to plague the country, this play provides fertile ground for a new generation of young people to explore critical race issues. We look forward to diverse audiences, not just racially or ethnically, but generational, veterans, the formerly incarcerated, etc. – all who struggle with access to their dreams of a better life.
